We had a great time at Venture River yesterday. Jason and I took 8 middle schoolers and Jonas. We had beautiful weather and a great time!
Today, Jonas and I slept in until about 9:00 while Jason went to work. When we got up, we ate breakfast together–cereal and toast–and then headed outside to give Sam a bath. Sam’s a big dog and he like to make sure he’s standing by one of his owners when he shakes all of the water off, so we got soaked and smelly. Luckily showers were next on the schedule!
Jason came home around lunch time so I left to go do a few things at the church and head to the grocery store.
Tonight, we’re cooking out and having my mom and Jason’s parents over. We have a wedding reception tomorrow afternoon (Henderson friends who got married in Florida a couple of weeks ago) and church stuff on Sunday.
This summer has gone by so fast! I only have one youth trip left before school (a day trip to Burdette Park at the end of July). The schedule was SO full at the end of May and I couldn’t imagine ever getting through it. I can’t believe that three weeks from today, school starts!
Note to Jenny: My allergies were kind of bothering me some today. I wondered if we’ve been affected by similar allergens. It started to bother me while I was working at church and then got worse at the store. It’s rare that I’m bothered, but I think there’s something in the air because my eyes were watering.
