Get Well, Jonas!

Some of Jonas’ classmates sent him thank you notes. Mrs. Kasey’s husband dropped them off tonight.

Jonas saw this one and said, “What the heck?” Ha–an eye patch!

“We hope your eye gets better! We are praying for you every day. We wish you would come back to school soon. We miss you very much. Hope you come to school very soon.”

And, well, kids are honest. Here are couple from students attempting to love their enemy…

“Jonas, I know we have been enemies for a long time but I am still sorry you got hurt.”

‘Yo Jonas, I know you don’t like me in all, but I still want to write this card to you. Hey, when you get back, tell Forrest not to bother me. I hope you get better. “

OH–and GREAT NEWS! The doctor released Jonas back to school tomorrow. He has regained 20/25 vision in his right eye–a miracle since he was a terrible patient and barely followed doctor’s orders. God is good!

  1. Hahahahahaha! Those are too funny! Kids are so honest sometimes.

My dad was the principal of an elementary school for like 35 years, and he would often come home with letters like that that his staff would show him, and it would be like entertainment for our family to read them out loud at the dinner table. Too funny!

  2. I also find that to be quite amusing. I'm finding that working in jr. high again is much more entertaining for that very reason. They aren't quite as honest as elementary aged children but they say their fair share of humorous, if not inappropriate, things.

I am also SO glad to hear the positive report. Go God!
