Jonas Learns Another Fact of Life

April 3, 2008

Last night as we were getting ready for bed in our hotel room, Jason was looking out the window.

Jason: The only person I see is the hotel security guard.

Jonas: Is it the same one I was talking to today?

Jason: No, I’m sure he’s off duty by now.

Jonas: Oh. Does he have a room at the hotel where he lives?

Jason: No. I’m sure he has a house or something. Most people don’t live where they work.

Jonas: Wait…do teachers live at school?

Jason: No.

Jonas: (disappointed) Oh.

  1. Hee-hee-hee…That’s so funny. There is a kids book about that. All about one kid’s teacher who moves into his apt. building and then it goes throught what he THOUGHT was true of teachers living at the school. Too, too funny!

That’s cute. I don’t think I ever thought that about my teachers or anyone else. But that was such a long time ago… so who knows… maybe I did!

I can’t wait to see what kinds of things my kids say and ask questions about! How fun!

  4. I love it that kids are inquisitive and ask anything. We lose that as we get old.

  5. Well said.
