I know what you want to tell me. “The moon does not produce light.”
“There’s no way you took that picture today.”
You’re right on both counts! Let’s dismiss the fact that I did not take that picture today, nor did I ever take that picture because that image was captured by my brilliant photographer of a husband, Jason (and isn’t it a really cool picture?).
Let’s focus on the light that’s reflected by the moon. As we know, that’s what the moon does–reflect the light of the sun that illuminates our world on clear, quarter to full moon nights.
So it is with us. We are called to be a people that reflect the light of Christ to a dark world.
May it be so!
For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light—for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true. Ephesians 5:8-9
