Please Do NOT Come Visit Us….

Okay, okay, you CAN come visit us, but before you do you should know that we are now officially remodeling.

Remodeling = a blessing we are surely grateful for. Please do not misinterpret the rest of this post as a complaint or a sign of ingratitude. Believe me, we have waited for this day from the time we bought the house–stinky carpet and all!

But also,

Remodeling = chaos!

We had to move everything out of our family room and scatter it around the house. We have our family room sectional in our living room in a really odd place. You practically trip over our television when you walk in the front door. The couch from the living room is in the kitchen–convenient for when I take a nap while cooking dinner. We shoved a bunch of stuff in the attic, so at least that helped. Jason ripped all of the 70s style panneling off the walls and is planning to rip down all of the old drywall tonight.

He was slightly offended that I kept saying, “Well, at least with all of this junk all over the place, we know we’ll be in a hurry to get it done.” He finally asked me, “Do you think I’m going to lay around for the next few weeks?” Oops–I was most certainly not thinking he was all of a sudden going to get lazy. I’m just a “nervous nelly.”

Oh, and it gets better, because coming on Thursday: The roofers! And coming on Monday: The septic guys to replace our septic tank!

When it’s over, we’ll have a party and then you can come visit us!

  1. How wonderful for you to soon have a “new” home.

    I know it takes a lot of hard work and patience!

    Be blessed in the midst of it!
