It’s a cloudy Saturday morning in Henderson. I am supposed to still be asleep, but a phone rang and now I’m awake and that’s that. I had to get up soon anyway.
Girl Scout Cookies came in this week. My toop sold almost 4,000 boxes, so that’s been a lot of work. Plus I helped one little girl in our troop sell her cookies since her parents could not and she sold about 230. Almost all of those have been delivered, but that’s been a job! It’s fun to see her so excited about passing her 200 goal.
Last night the youth group had a movie night. We watched “Rebound”–well, half of it anyway. Then we played Sardines. I’m really good at Sardines in our church because I’m there all the time, so I’m not scared of the dark, and I know every closet and crawl space. My partner and I had a really good hiding place last night and it took the rest of them about 25 minutes to find us.
This morning, I’m taking Troop 981 to Fired Up. It’s a place where you go and paint pottery. We’re also going to have pizza.
Jason just left to go wash some windows downtown. He washed windows at a house yesterday. The phone call this morning was for his first pressure washing job of the season. We’re hoping that he’s going to be really busy pretty soon! He’s off to a good start!
Jonas is not with us this weekend, so we miss him. I went to volunteer in his classroom yesterday and his desk is right up against the chalkboard. He has a little problem with talking to and touching his classmates, rather than paying attention to the lesson. But he’s had a lot more good days than bad days lately, so we’re glad for that.
Have a good Saturday!
