Strong Men

November 19, 2009

As of 1:00 today, we had filled 61 shipping cartons with close to 900 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Jim and Jason volunteered to load these boxes into the box truck that Bruce Woodring let us borrow. Bruce is so generous every year and lets us use the truck from Thursday thru Monday, even though he could probably be making money with it. We are grateful, for sure.

In fact, we’re so grateful, that we don’t even complain that the truck does not have a ramp. Actually, most importantly, this man does not complain and he’s the one that has to lift each box into the truck and then drag it and stack it.

For a short while, the room looked like this. It will fill up again tomorrow morning with a church that is bringing 800 shoeboxes from Union County.
