So June is over. It was pretty awesome! We had the high school mission trip, VBS, and the middle school mission trip. Adding to the chaos was the fact that the church van had to go to the dealership approximately every 20 minutes, we spent some time cleaning and planning our next step for our youth room and I spent a couple of days trying to figure out how to handle my new Girl Scout position without messing it up and it made for a pretty busy and incredible month!
But now it’s July. July brings lots of day long activities for youth group and the last month of summer break. The kids here go back to school on August 5, so we have a lot of fun to cram in before then.
The evenings have been beautiful here and we have spent many nights sitting outside, enjoying the breeze. I’m also re-learning how to ride a bike that actually goes somewhere. I’m pretty awesome at a stationary bike, but it’s been a long time since I’ve seriously ridden a real one. Jason just had his bike fixed, Jonas has recently mastered the skill, and now it’s time for me to get back on the bike seat and ride with them. It’s a compromise really since I won’t go camping with them. I felt bad refusing to ride bikes with them, too. At least when you’re done with a bike ride, you can take a shower immediately if needed. Camping doesn’t always allow that luxury.
Anyway, I’m working at the church this week and it’s finally time to catch up on everything else. I hope all of you are doing well!
