What I didn’t know is that she’s possessed.
Edited 8:30 a.m. Saturday: So last night, around midnight, Jason decided to close the garage door. I was taking some things to the recycle bins (also in the garage). As Jason was closing the garage door, we heard a series of terrible shrieks.
Here is what happened in a manner of a second:
1. Jason froze up, not sure what was going on.
2. I realized what was going on and began to panic, yelling, “The cat! The cat!”
3. Jason was unsure of what to do–hold the door, reverse it, etc.
4. Sam took advantage of the open door and ran out into the neighborhood.
It was possible that we just killed the cat and lost the dog.
So, Jeff (who arrived late last night) jogs down the street with the leash and finds Sam and brings him home. Then we all started looking for the cat. Jeff and Jason both climbed on ladders to make sure she wasn’t still up in the garage door. There was no sign of her anywhere.
Well, finally, we found her. She was up in one of the trees in the backyard. In perfect condition. This morning, she was at our window, so she’s absolutely fine.
I bet she won’t be hanging out on the garage door any more.
