Making Memories in the Midwest

April 30, 2006

We went to Agape Fest in Greenville, IL. We stayed on the Bond County Fairgrounds.

We stopped at this rest area in So. Illinois. Enjoy these last “dry” pictures that we took!

That’s John up a tree…

And Harrison on a garbage can.

We set up four tents in the dark–thank goodness for Jason and Jonas and their Boy Scout Skills!

And it rained all night and some of the morning, but we didn’t let that ruin our good time!

Someone pulled these giant spools out of one of the shelters at the fairground. Who knows what you really do with them–my group just wanted to walk on them.

This is Aimee after she won her elephant ear when she came in second place in the 89.5 (the Grin) Dance Contest! We had competitors participate in Agape Idol and Arm Wrestling competitions, as well. It was all on the radio, so now we’re famous.

The pictures pretty much stop after this one, but the fun went on and on! We had so much fun that we didn’t make it home on Saturday night like we planned…the roads coming home were wet and it was very windy and later than we expected so we stopped and stayed at the Best Western in Nashville, IL. We arrived there around Midnight and woke up at 6:00 to drive the two hours back home.

Caitlyn, Would you like to do that all again?

Looks like you had fun! Those are the kinds of events that you never forget! (the ones where some things don’t go according to plan but turn out just right anyway!)
