So, I turned 30 this weekend. My loved ones surprised me with a lovely party at the church in the fellowship hall. My husband, my mother, and my mother-in-law worked hard to plan the details and everyone else worked hard to keep the secret. My dad even came down! It was a lot of fun and great to see everyone. Everyone did a great job because I had no idea! It was much fun and it made the transition to 30 a little bit easier.
Yesterday, we had the graduate breakfast at church and then the youth group had their summer kick-off at the home of one of our church families. They live right on Audubon Park and you can hike their from their front yard (if you cut through the neighbor’s yard, you end up on Warbler Rd), so we went on a hike, played Bocce ball, and enjoyed a cook out. It was much fun.
This morning, I am at my desk! I have some end of the year work to do.
Tomorrow is election day here in the bluegrass state. Kind of a big deal this time. On election day, there’s no school, so I think I’ll be spending part of the day tomorrow with Jonas and Jason.
So now you’re all caught up!
